Our Process: What to Expect Before, During & After Your Build
Learn More About the Process of Building Your New Home
It should come as no surprise that building a new home is something of a process, and while all of that process can seem stressful, each step is essential to ensuring the success of your project.
So what can you expect to happen before, during, and after your build? Let’s take a look.
The Before, During, and After Process of Building a New Home
· Before
Before the build starts, there are a few key things that must happen. First, you must select and purchase a lot, then work with the experts at Beacon or an architect of your choice to determine the specifics of what you want from your home. From there, design plans are drawn up. This is also a good time to take care of any permits that are necessary.
· During
The building process includes a number of stages:
-Site preparation
-Footings, foundations, and framing
-Wiring and electric, plumbing, security system, drywall, and other infrastructure
-Flooring and paint
-Fixtures and appliances
-Landscaping
Through all of this, we’ll be keeping in close contact with you to ensure that everything is progressing to your liking each step of the way. The build will also undergo a number of inspections to make sure that it’s up to code.
· After
Once the build is complete, we’ll give the home and property a final cleaning before you perform your walk-through. During the walk-through, you’ll create what is known as a punch list of final things you’d like us to alter.
After that, move in and make it your home!
